The first one, which is a "basic" disk on which the XP and Vista partitions are, works well on bot OSes. However, the other two, which are "dynamic" disks, It might be a problem specific to dynamic disks. Is it possible that Vista has modified the data structure of the disk so that it is not accessible from XP

you uninstall it leaves a registry entry for a something.sys driver that creates a bluescreen error. it's a pain to fix, but I thought it was only in vista. The downside being you'll have to convert the volumes to dynamic disks. Otherwise you'll probably have to use a 3rd party disk cloning/imaging utility.
